Women Concerns
"Capture Life" is a gender equality project that is produced through a partnership between MADEV and the European Union (EU), in order to mobilize and foster a society of equal opportunities, where both men and women are equally valued, respected, granted equal rights, responsibilities, and opportunities.
The "Capture Life" Project consists of three main components:
1) "Coiffure Ashwaq", a 30-episodes sitcom, 15 minutes each, that is introducing gender and family issues to the audience, in order to raise their awareness, and advocate the gender equality issue.
2) An educational kit, in three main sections, based on three episodes of the sitcom, in order to train the civic society facilitators on using media as a tool for fostering positive behavioral change concerning gender equality. Representatives of more than 77 NGOs attended Train-Of-Trainers' sessions to use this educational kit in disseminating awareness on gender rights using media. Banner design
3) A web portal, "www.settatonchat.com", that includes the basic information that is needed for women and young ladies, in order to help her to participate positively in the society, and to be aware of her rights. The website is also introducing its targeted audience with a network of other organizations and phone lines that may help them find the proper counsel and advice. At its early stages, the website receives more than 6000 visitors monthly.
